Iron on fleece with a 1 inch grid. i.a. for making "watercolor" quilts. You place the patches on the grid and iron them. Next, fold the fleece in half at the printed lines and sew with a 1/4 inch seam allowance along the grid line, both vertically and horizontally.

With this you can easily and quickly sew large quantities of small patches of 1, 2, 3 inches or larger. See also the instruction video below
