With the Tessellating Windmill template you can make blocks from 2 to 9 inch finished. The shape rotates and forms a square block with 4 pieces. If you put several blocks together in the right order, the windmills will stand up. How to do this is clearly explained in the booklet that comes with the template and in the separately available Tesselating Windmill pattern booklet.
Cut the pieces from stacked squares and all pieces will automatically line up straight and in the right place for their position in the block! Then use the ingenious "Leapfrog" system to assemble blocks and rows at the same time. The quilt almost makes itself!

The video below is a bit dated, but it clearly shows how easily you can cut the fabrics and place them in the right place with the "Leapfrog Method" and sew the blocks together.
