This iron-on fleece has 2.5-inch squares. This allows you to very easily create watercolor quilts using 2.5-inch patches. You place the patches on the side with the adhesive backing and iron them down. Then, you fold the fleece along the line, with the patches right sides together, and sew 1/4 inch from the edge. First all the horizontal lines, and then the vertical lines.
The advantage of working on the grid is that you can create the entire composition first and reposition the patches if necessary. And you always get perfect intersections because you follow the lines of the grid.
The fleece is over 121 cm wide (48 inches) and has 19 squares across the width
